Gear Review: IKAN LED Bi-color Light Kit – 3 Piece
An LED Light kit is great to have for shoots where an ARRI kit just isn’t necessary. LEDs weigh less and put out a lot less heat than their tungsten counterparts – making them excellent choices for on-the-go shoots and simple interviews. Seek First Productions will often use them to even fill out light where the ARRI kit falls short. Because the LEDs are Bi-colored, they are easy to match color temperature.
Here three LEDs are being used to supplement an ARRI kit.
One of the unique features the IKAN kit has is a display screen on the back of each light – showing the user what level of dim is being applied, along with what the color temperature is. Likewise, V-Mount battery plates are on the back of each, allowing them to be used without plugging into a wall outlet.
